ParamCARE foundation in association with UMDNJ –RWJMS conducted focus groups in Middlesex andSomersetcounties ofNew Jerseyto understand the experiences in getting healthcare among the Gujarati and Hindi speaking population of the community.
The focus group in Hindi was conducted at our facility located in 200 Middlesex Essex Turnpike in Iselin, NJon 25th July 2012 and the Gujarati focus group was conducted in ChutneyMaryRestaurantin Monmouth Junction, NJ on 26th July 2012. There was equal representation of both men and women of all age groups with the seniors showing increased interest in being a part of the event.
The participants were very enthusiastic in expressing their views during discussion on various healthcare topics and also came up with lots of interesting ideas and suggestions for improving healthcare delivery and facilities.
They also liked the idea of having such meetings and were interested in attending more events like this in the future.
