On August 14th2011, ParamCARE foundation raised health awareness at ‘Community Health Fair’ in the English SDA Church, New Brunswick, NJ
The English Seventh Day Adventist Church in New Brunswick, NJ held a ‘Community Health Fair day’ on August 14, 2011. Present were professionals from several community care facilities such as; Robert Wood Johnson hospital, St. Peter’s University Hospital, Care Alternatives Hospice, Middlesex County, Dental clinic in Metuchen, Blindness prevention and awareness association, Jewish family & Vocational Service of Middlesex county etc. ParamCARE team was present to educate on wellness through nutrition, yoga and to inform about healthcare programs that elevate the community through education and training.
Our Nutrition Counselor provided counseling on how to prevent diseases as well as how to achieve and maintain good health through healthy eating. Presentation was provided to inform the community on basics of nutrition so that they can make correct food choices. Questions were answered on all kinds of nutrition related queries.
ParamCARE strives on the principle that a healthy body is one where there is physical, mental and social wellness. Therefore, we made an effort to inspire the community on being physically active, socially connected and mentally blissful.
We believe that it is very important for a woman to be self-dependent. Having financial stability provides women with peace of mind and a good quality of life. Hence we provided information on our certificate programs such as Pharmacy Technician, Medical Billing and Coding specialist, Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) and Certified Home Health Aide. We are a Medicare approved facility; we find gratification in providing assistance to seniors who are in need for home health care; therefore we provide free training on Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA). Our training programs are not gender biased; we welcome anyone who has a desire to help the community through a healthcare career. At the ‘Community Health Fair’ we received great response on our effort to uplift the community’s quality of life through education.
